Details

The CAHRA Review Workshop will host talks and discussion about “The Community-Wide Assessment of Cryo-EM Heterogeneous Reconstruction Algorithms (CAHRA) Challenge” and the wider subject of interpreting and reconstructing the heterogeneity present in cryo-EM datasets. This will include talks…

Talks at the workshop will be held in a hybrid manner. Please note that some speakers may request their presentation to be covered by a "No Publication Policy" similar to that used at Gordon Research Conferences; these talks will not be broadcast or recorded.

There will be ample time for in-person participants to discuss scoring metrics and challenge results, identify shortcomings of existing methods, brainstorm future metrics, explore integrative techniques and to discuss optimal representation, deposition, and reuse of heterogeneous structures.

The Workshop will be held in Diamond House at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory (RAL), Harwell in Oxfordshire, UK from Thursday to Friday, September 17-18th, 2026. For in-person delegates, a limited numbers of rooms (free of charge, covered by DRIIMB sponsorship) are available at the Milton Hill House Hotel (MHH) on the nights of Wednesday and Thursday, September 16th and 17th. This accommodation includes evening meals, breakfast, and coach transport between RAL and MHH. These rooms will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis upon registration. Lunch and coffee will be provided at RAL.
